The phone you used in the picture of 2g generation was the Nokia 3310 which was made in 1999. The 2g phones were a bit bigger than 3310 and had a small anetenna sticking out of the top.

Actually 3g was the first network because before that it was just cellphone which Sprint started throwing around tech lingo with the video mms/youtube player thus everyone else made things up. T-mobile had the first smartphone network and currently cellular is the same as cable broadband with a cable using volp. 5g is basically tech lingo and 0g is the sattilte network that will be the end of ground based cellular
